****Hello from the Hammers****
We figured it was time to join the blogging world so hello fellow bloggers! Well...we finally did it! Jon and I were married on March 27th in a beautiful ceremony in Texas! We had a blast and were surrounded by family and friends who came from Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Florida and even Canada to share in our special day! We danced and celebrated with good food and conversation all night! We felt so blessed that so many people came and thank you to all who were there to support us!
Only 2 days after the big day we packed up our suitcases, said our goodbyes, and hopped on the plane to Vancouver! After a quick hello to Jon's roommate when we got in we headed to the bedroom and just crashed! With the wedding, the socializing, the packing, and the traveling we were exhausted! The first few nights in Vancouver we filled our dinner plates with donairs from Donair King and poutine from Fritz's....oh how I'd missed the cuisine up here! =) But after a few nights of eating out (and not so healthy) we headed to the grocery store and bought a ton of groceries! Ever since we've both been cooking away and I am getting better in the kitchen! Jon has actually complimented many dishes I've made (and eaten them all!) What a nice husband!
The first few weekends we have spent hanging out with football friends and getting to know new people! Our apartment is a popular spot to hang out seeing as how it is so close to the Vancouver nightlife scene! We have been on some double dates with friends, out to dinner, walked over to Granville Island for the day, gone shopping (one of my favs!), and just sat around and watched sports (Jon's fav)....but regardless of what we are doing, Jon and I are happy because we have each other and we are loving married life!
I've included some pictures of the apartment and the view from our balcony. Please note the 3 TV setup is still standard in our home and try to appreciate the Rock Band guitars that have been hung as decoration in the living room! (Oh boy...what a bachelor pad!) Haha! But this is life as we know it in the Hammer Household!

Love your view! :) Now if we could be sitting there together drinking red wine, it would be even better. Miss you Mrs. Hameister Ries.
